If yes, then wouldn't the "default" class compliant driver for the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 or Scarlett Solo (my main 2 options) work slower than the developer's original driver? (apparently not working under mavericks hence the need to set it to class compliant mode)Īny other good options that will work well on Mavericks 10.9. BTW: I've tweaked both programs regarding buffer preloading times and multicore support and I think i've got to the point in which my computer is working as fast as it can, but I still need a bit more.

I am looking into getting an external usb interface like the Scarlett 2i2 to help Logic's X 10.0.7 performance with Kontakt 5.3 Full version, since I'm getting Cpu overload messages and dropouts when heavy polyphony parts are being played, (yes I use quite a few of heavy Kontakt libraries like Spitfire BMLs)
